Dear abbots Shifu, leaders, and coaches of Shaolin Cultural Centers around the world, leaders and coaches of all academies, halls, and associations in the world that offer Shaolin Kung Fu courses, Shaolin disciples, Shaolin Kung Fu practitioners, and enthusiasts from all ethnic groups worldwide, and governments, associations, and enterprises from various countries who have supported and long cared for the inheritance of Shaolin,everyone related to Shaolin and friends: Auspicious greetings to you all!

The world-renowned Shaolin Temple, celebrated as the "ancestral temple of Zen Buddhism and a holy land for inheritance of Shaolin Kung Fu", has steadfastly upheld the Buddha's purpose of bringing compassion to the world and benefiting all sentient beings with the simplest way of life, committed to serving the holistic physical , mental and soul health of all humanity. As society progresses and technology evolves, the connections among people from all over the world have become ever closer. Taking this opportunity, Shaolin Temple engages in equal exchanges and mutual appreciation of cultures with people all over the world, sharing the Shaolin culture widely together. As the quintessence of Shaolin culture, Shaolin Kung Fu has increasingly been known and acknowledged by the public, and more and more practitioners have joined our Shaolin family.

A thousand years of cultural accomplishments foster a healthy lifestyle, and the philosophy of Shaolin Games co-sharing heritage is embraced across all six continents.

In 2023 within a year, we successfully completed the intercontinental Shaolin Kung Fu Games across six continents, including Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America, Europe, and Oceania. Tens of thousands of Shaolin Kung Fu practitioners from various races, with different skin colors, ages, and even spanning four generations, joyfully participated, and responded with great enthusiasm. Participants from 101 countries converged in Zambia, Singapore, Argentina, the United States, Italy, and Australia to participate in the Games. The events were a dazzling display of talent, both on-site and in the virtual world. The Shaolin spirit of compassion, gratitude, mutual trust, and unyielding perseverance was spread far and wide, profoundly touching hearts of people around the globe. 

A constellation of talents comes together to celebrate the grand event of Shaolin Kung Fu Competition, striving forward in unison to co-create a splendid future.

From July 12th to 14th, 2024, stars of Shaolin Kung Fu from across six continents will converge at China's Shaolin Temple in Songshan to compete in the 2024 World Shaolin Games Finals, competing for "2024 World Shaolin Kung Fu Star." I, alongside the catuparisa (fourfold assembly consisting of monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen) of Shaolin Temple, will welcome Shaolin Kung Fu practitioners, organizers, and coaches from the six continents back to Shaolin family. This gathering will serve as a platform for them to report on their individual experiences and achievements, showcase their talents, and foster connections with fellow practitioners around the globe, broadening their perspectives. Moreover, being immersed in the atmosphere of our ancestral holy land, Chinese culture landmarks, heritage of all humanity, center of the heaven and earth, the awards ceremony will profoundly enrich the cultural consciousness, life confidence, and spiritual richness of Shaolin disciples, thus marking a truly precious opportunity.

The Shaolin Games Finals is not competition of win or lose, nor a contest of victory or defeat, but moments of life awakening, team development, and the inheritance and enrichment of Shaolin spirit. I hope, as the Shaolin Kung Fu three-tier competition system unfolds, the promotion and popularization of Shaolin Kung Fu Duanpin system advance, propelled by the efforts of the Shaolin Federation, and with the launch of the "Shaolin Kung Fu" interactive digital learning platform, Shaolin organizations and practitioners worldwide will steadfastly uphold our faith, will and practice, clearly define our mission and responsibilities, and continuously enhance our capability, team building and institution building. Together, we strive to offer more credible, abundant, and higher quality Shaolin cultural spirits and services that can benefit sentient beings across the six continents offering individuals with affinity, fostering cross-cultural exchanges, enhancing the mutual appreciation of civilizations, and contributing to the well-being, health, and peace of humanity. 

During the Shaolin Games Finals, we will also organize various events, including the overseas Shaolin Kung Fu instructors and principals’ seminars and awards ceremony, and the overseas Shaolin Kung Fu Duanpin System assessment and awarding ceremony. We also welcome domestic participants get involved in teaching and examining the Shaolin Kung Fu Duanpin System in their academies to take part in the competition and other exchange activities. This aims to foster mutual encouragement and relentless advancement, contributing to the creation of an open, inclusive, co-sharing, and co-existing atmosphere for transmitting the Shaolin Kung Fu intangible cultural heritage.
